tuniq 120

Replaced the fan with a Nexus 120mm, best thing I did. The idle and load temps have plummeted, and it is quiet enough to run at full pelt all the time (and is still quieter than the tuniq fan on low).

Interested in this Scyth if the stats are to be believed. 63CFM @ 28db? I have tested a fair few amount of fans and my favorite at the moment are the Sharkoon 1000 and 2000 120mm's. The Scyth seems to have a high CFM for the dB rating but as we all know manu specs are sometimes far from the truth. Anyone else who has tried a number of fans able to comment on the Scyths?

The Scythe S-Flex 1600rpm is supposed to be good - it has the Sony FDB's so it's really quiet.

Thats what I use a lot quieter that the standard one. I can just hear it in my case (PC7) at full bore but I wouldn't say it is intrusive at all. After I fitted it I also changed the bios setting so now fan speed is adjusted by cpu temp. Cooler and quieter than the TT fan was even on low..

I'm tempted to get one - I have to keep the standard one turned down to keep the noise at an acceptable level. Mind, it's not as noisy as the NB fan you get with the 680i motherboards! That little fan is VERY noisy - I have to keep it at about 60% to keep it quiet
