As title really, am just deciding weather to go water cooled in my upcoming build, i know how well these cool, but not sure at what cost is the fan inside loud? Also which is better, Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler or Tuniq Tower 120-LFB CPU Cooler?

The fan is quiet on low but quite loud on full, mine is always on low, it's fine for me for everyday use.
I think the only difference is the LED lights.

Just make sure you put it on before you put the motherboard in your case :p

Pretty easy to do, put bracket on the back then put heatsink/fan ontop and clip until tight

Wouldn't the Noctua or Schythe Ninja Rev B be quiter and basically do the same peformance? I would like to know this as I am leaning towards a Noctua...

I bought the blue led one when it was on special recently and had it running for a couple of day before my order of Yate Loons arrived :p

I've got one of them on board now and along with the other 3 I have scattered around my case; you'd hardly know my machine was on!

Regarding the actual fitting - I found it pretty easy, nothing too complicated, the supplied instructions are reasonably clear and there are loads on net resources if you get really stuck. You can't really do any damage when your tightening the screws because they're spring loaded, which is a handy little feature, but you can sort of gauge the tightness yourself when your fitting it up?

I love this cooler, I've got it on top of a E2160 which I'm still running in before I start my OC and because I use the Smart Fan thing on my mobo, the fan doesn't even come on until I start gaming or whatever :D

My cpu is currently 21 degrees idle with NO cpu fan running :)

Enjoy your Tower!

Today I swapped my standard fan to an Antec TriCool 120mm fan, the volume is about the same, but it pushes more air through. Its prob worth changing it if you fancy a few degrees in temperature difference. But don't expect a different fan to drop 5C off you your load temps.

I also put a washer under each spring for more tension. Due to the cooler being so heavy, it didn't feel as if it was tight enough, i could still twist it on the cpu.
I can't say if it lowered my temps because i lapped it and the cpu the same time. Now only about 1 deg difference across all cores when loaded.
