Is there any point in changing the fan in the Tuniq Tower 120 ?
If so - what to ?

Or is there better coolers now for this chip - dont want to go H2O

Trying to keep my 6700 a bit cooler - room is hot as hell :(

What sort of temps are you getting?

I've just re-seated mine as I've switched back to a EVGA 680i... and I'm getting 57c load according to Speedfan(I think speedfan reads from the bios?) but TAT is also reporting 57c/56c for the cores... am I right in thinking that the cores should be hotter than the temp that Speedfan says?

What temps are you getting? And the fan is noisy... some people have changed to a noctua altho any 120mm fan should work?

im already using a different fan to the stock one, im using an arctic cooling fan. although i hear the best one to go for is the scythe s-flex 1600 fan. bit expensive but i guess its just gonna be a one off payment then im done with spending cash on this pc.

how did u go about mounting the fan inside in the tuniq tower? is it a easy swap? ive got a spare s-flex here which i might swap with the tuniq fan

tsj I thought I'd just take this opportunity to remind you that your sig is above the maximum filesize allowance.

:edit: In fact here's a quick re-compression of it for ya if you want to use it that is.

It's still 25 pixels too wide but the forum formatting seems to cut off any pixels over 400 anyway.

Hehehe oke mate... thanks for that :p

Any one using a different fan on Tuniq ?

Just curious of other experiences in changing their fan in their Tuniq tower?

I have been looking through OCuk's 120mm fan selection and I was thinking of

YS-TECH FD1225 120mm , no reviews available on it ( but they are BS mostly anyway ) , it shifts are fair amount of air 105cfm

The supplied Tuniq fan shifts 84 cfm at full speed ( but its a bit noisy )

I changed my Tuniq Tower fan for a Nexus 120mm fan, mainly for noise issues. I would recommend one of those fans, a Yate Loon, or a Sharkoon fan.

got one of these... guess ill chuck it in and see what the score is .. will report back.

Temps - stock 45-48 then rises up to 59 under load... have fan controller so at full pelt gets to 58 .... gonna check seating and paste ... theres a difference of 4d on each core.. this about right ?
