I had a Turkish Massage during an activity holiday in Turkey. It was quite deep in terms of muscle depth.

Very good. Done by a bloke in a really hot steam room whilst lying on a slab of warm/hot solid marble.
 
Been to a few in Turkey, and they are fantastic, the best was a newish place outside of Bodrum that was about £10 for the bath & initial massage, then £20 for a 45 minutes softer massage.
The first massage is brutal, but after you have had it you feel great, then after the longer massage, you feel like you are floating, not walking :) and your skin will be as soft as you can get it.
