I got a copy of galactic civ 2 and its expansions, never got round to playing it though. Is it any good is it worth playing?

Deffinately. The expansions add a ton to the game (There's two, Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor.

Whenever someone asks about GalCiv 2, I usually direct them to these two PC Gamer articles:

Dark Avatar war report.

Twilight of the Arnor war report.

Extremely well written, and they give you a fantastic overview of the games as well.
