turn the speed up on cpu fan?

is there any software that i can turn the fan speed up on my cpu fan with, i want to try and overclock, the fan is spinning at 1200rpm at the minute. does it need turning up?

The fan will spin itself up when necessary however if you wish to control fan speeds for proccessor and case fans yourself you can use SpeedFan
