When driving home from work for the past 3 days, I have noticed a common trend of people driving without any lights on.

Not sure why some people are not using their lights, saw 2 cars this evening with no lights.

Remember to turn them on! :)

auto lights ftw! :-D

For me its kinda the opposite.. my drive to work and back is all B road, i dont finish work until 6pm. The one thing that gets on my boobies is fools drive with their fog lights on!

I was under the impression that fog lights were to be used when it was actually FOGGY with limited visibility..

After living in Birmingham for just over a year now the amount of people I see driving around with no lights, or side lights without dipped beam, or even just one side light working is unbelievable.

I like to play chicken with drivers who have their fog lights on, by turning all mine off just as they get near.

In fact I did consider buying a 4x4 so I could ram them off the road when nobody was looking.

My favourite this year is people who know they have a headlight out so they try and compensate for the lack of a headlight by putting their fog lights on (or so I'd like to think), only to find they have a fog light out which is usually on the same side as the working headlight.

I have seen an increasing number of people with no lights on though, even after it is completely dark, makes me wonder how they don't notice how they can't see where they're going.

Yay for having a bike that the lights come on when you start it up.

What I don't get is those who have no lights on at all must not have their clocks lit as all cars I ever owned needed you to turn at least the side lights on to get the clocks illuminated, so surely they must have an inkling?

Mine are always on for the odometer etc but for my center console lighting i must have the lighting on. Although the clock and cd player lighting is on but when u put the headlights on it dims them so your not blinded in the car :')

Older cars this is true on. My rover certainly was

It's because a lot of dash boards are now lit as default. Oh and that most people are thick.

My personal favourite is sidelights and fog lights because as long as they can see fifteen feet in front of their car they'll be alright.

People forget that lights aren't just to see, they're also to be seen.
