Is there a gizmo that will allow you to use a PC TFT as a TV without using a computer? I know there'll be issue with PAL and PC resolutions but, I've a spare 17" TFT and it seems a shame not to use it for something, instead of selling it for a pittance.

Hi,

there are external tv tuners that can be used just for this and they're not very expensive either you should get one for around 35 pounds if you look around.. OcUK don't seem to have them at the moment though

I think he's looking for a freeview box with a VGA output on it? One does exist, its quite expensive though (£60ish I think).

P.S Sorry, I don't remember its name, and I don't think OcUK stock it.

Edit: £60 is off the mark, its more like £100 :P.

I'm not seeing them for that cheap! But yeah I think an external Tuner looks like what I'm thinking of.

Not specifically looking for freeview.

Something like that yeah. TBH all I need is one with a Scart to VGA. I only intend putting a DVD player through it. Tuner and anything else is a bonus.
