Turning off Windows File Protection

Does anybody know how to turn this off in Win xp pro sp2 32bit? Its started to really annoy me now but I can't find an option for disabling it?

To the OP what files are you getting prompted for to restore, have you considered that you may have a virus/spyware?

wasn't it the file protection thing that used to annoy me everytime i wanted to open something someone had sent me over msn or that I'd downloaded from the net?

file protection can kick in if you're using a modified dll to use visual styles.. as such, I disable it everytime when making an nlite. It doesn't just respond to mal-ware
