Turning phone into a wifi game controller

Is it possible to get an app that would turn my phone into a wifi contoller for my Shield tablet, or any tablet for that metter?

But didn't feel as great as using a normal controller.

Thanks. I gave it a go but it was awful!
I wanted something cheap to use on my Shield while im waiting for the wifi controller to come back into stock. Having a bluetooth controller will sap the tablet battery and a wired one seems to be a bit of a backwards move for a wirless tablet.
Maybe I'll give a cheap wired controller a try for a bit.

Tried a wired controller. No idea how people can use them! Think I'll go for a mini keyboard and mouse setup. I think I might have dodged a bullet there. I was going to buy a shield controller for £50!
