Hey,

I have seen this headset which is wireless and is compatible with xbox and ps3 according to the turtle beach website. There is some information that states it is also compatible with PC, which is why I made this thread.

I have a dolby digital live soundcard, so I think this headset will have all the functions it has on the consoles on my pc? The card is a titanium hd.

I'm looking for a comfortable wireless headset and I have seen these for £120 (rrp is £199).

Anyone know if the x ray is fully compatible with a pc that has a dolby digital live soundcard?

Product page for the headset http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/call-of-duty-headsets/ear-force-x-ray/67

As for the call of duty branding, I'm not a big call of duty fan and it doesn't bother me to have a cod branded headset.

Thanks.

I don't think there will be any problem getting sound. They use Dolby Digital, which is what your Titanium HD will provide with DDL. It's the microphone I'm unsure of. There is a cable which connects the headset to the Xbox360 controller. I'm guessing you could use that, if you can get the correct cable. Defeats the wireless though, somewhat.

PS3 uses Bluetooth it would seem for the microphone. Should also work with PC, I would have thought, if you have a Bluetooth dongle.

The cable for the xbox pad is just for the chat function, the wireless transmitter connects to your xbox/pc/playstation via toslink. I have the x41s plugged into my tv downstairs and the px5s on my xbox upstairs. You can use them with anything that has toslink output. You can also select between dolby stereo and dolby surround via the wireless transmitter.
