Turtle Beaches on the PC???

So basically, I have turtle Beach x31, and I want to use them on my PC, I can get the game sound to work obviously but the mic uses a 2.5mm cable whereas a PC input for mic is 3.5mm.

I ordered a 2.5 to 3.5mm adaptor off of a website called the 'south american jungle' *wink wink nudge nudge*

any reason why this wouldn't work???
