I bought these yesterday without doing much research although it seems like multiple versions of Turtlebeach have this "buzzing" issue.
Basically, whenever I increase the volume I get a slight buzzing/static noise. I could live with this myself but after being on Skype, my friend can actually hear the buzzing louder than me. I have not tried this with 360 or PS3.
The problem after googling seems to be a ground loop issue and the solution is to run the USB cable to a wall socket which is fine in practice but this particular Turtlebeach only has a USB and a green connection for the headphones. Obviously this means the mic would not be functional since the USB cable is used for the mic data. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could eliminate the buzzing and keep both the sound and mic intact?
