Tutorial: Change the colour of a LED fan.

Any chance someone dismantled Coolermaster Blue 120mm (A12025-12CB-3BN-F1) to see which resistors has been used ?
I'm going to change LEDs, but not really want to dismantle fan.
 
Has it really been three years since posting this tutorial.

I wouldn't worry about it. Even if they went for a 470 ohm which would be 20mA you'd find a Red LED would only be 22mA and that's just fine.

Give it a try with whatever colour you have.
