What do you guys think to the formation of a section dedicated to tutorials

Essentially a section where Forum members can post small tutorials and hints and tips that they feel would be of benefit to others.

I'm thinking from a modding perspective, such as how to best paint a panel, how to cut a window, how to wire in LEDs etc.

If there's enough support maybe the mods will lock on and set it up.

It would certainly be interesting yes! I am away to start my first minor case modding after building my first true PC last year. So would be nice to have some tips etc :)

good idea :)

i will create a thread in private

then when enough tutorials get made, the poster can email me and i will sticky the thread to the top of case central.

i think it may be wise to make the sticky so that it cant be posted in that way it can be easily monitored and questions can be asked in the main section of CC

should make it easier for newcomers to get into modding.

Yeah I think it shouldn't be stickied and just make a tutorial section as the tutorial list will be endless and i'm sure a lot of people will contribute.

so do we see it split into different sections within the main heading of tutorials or or jst have them all within and dig out through the search function?

its ok, ive met perry and he seems very reserved

its not like he is OCD-OC

his 800d is starting to resemble swiss cheese :p

Ah yeah, I'd forgotten about that. Well, I hope you enjoy your Dremel perry :p

And despite OCD-OC's case looking like swiss cheese, the finished result is pretty damn impressive eh :)

nice little tutorial w3bbo just the sort of thing I was thinking of

I the trhread gets approval and becomes a sticky i'm hoping Tealc will post his guide to how to wire LEDs into a fan. He was invaluable to me during a recent project and has a great way of putting things accross to hopeless cases such as myself

I've been working on my tutorial/guide today. I was going to go all out with theory but in the end decided to do the tutorial by actually modding one of my own LED fans. Should be ready soon.

I will also do one for the 16x LED fan mod I have planned and will have that wired with a switch and it's own molex supply so it's full bright all the time.

This Dremel fever is catching, think I'm going to buy one when I come to doing up my case! As for tutorials, I think as more people dive into watercooling and modding their cases to fit the cooling, it will help a lot :) Really bring back a community feels to the case/modding section too :)
