TV box advice

I am looking for a TV box to use on my old non smart TV. The main functions I am looking for is the ability to use iPlayer, all4 etc, play media files off a USB stick and probably kodi too. Will one of those android boxes you can get for £30~ work (S902) or are there better alternatives?

If usb connectivity isn't that important then an Amazon Firestick is the way to go. I stream all my media content from my main pc via Kodi, so no need for any attached storage.
 
Android box will do all but it's a PITA to navigate usually needing an Air Mouse as well as the apps are designed for touchscreens.
Fire TV box has everything too but the USB socket is for apps,games etc bought from Amazon.
I've heard people have had success using VLC Player to access the USB but iv'e not tried it.
