I want to buy a new TV for my Xbox 360, I have a few questions though.

Will HD Ready and Full HD be noticeable with a 360? I don't really want to spend more than £300, I want something that's atleast 32" but not much bigger because my room is only small.

Has anyone got any suggestions on which model to get?

Cheers

HD makes a difference, I find games either look 100% better or much worse than on my previous screen.

Went from a 26 inch non-HD to a 39 inch HD.

no suggestions on a model though.

Stuns me almost anyone would consider buying a non HD tv in this day and age!

I wouldn't go smaller than 32 inch, which you should be able to find from £200 if you look around. Nothing wrong with entry level models for console gaming.

As for a specific reccomendation I don't know, but I can't imagine 32" tv's < £300 are going to be anything except a much of a muchness in quality. Just get the cheapest you can find with the ports you require would be my reccomendation.

I would also reccomend a headset for your 360 (if you're a hardcore gamer) as the speakers will no doubt be rubbish on tv's at this price range.

I bought an LG 42" Full HD LED tv from a popular high street technology store a few weeks ago for £330 and I love it. Keep an eye out and there is good deals

I don't think he was considering a non hd model. Just asking would he notice the difference in hd ready/full hd 720/1080.

Most games are only 720 anyway so I doubt it but prices are so low you must be able to get a full hd set in budget. As for which is best I'm not sure as my highest priority is movies. Just look for low input rates.

I bought a Samsung UE32EH5000 last week from JL for £249 which included the 5 year warranty (with all their tvs). I had them price match Richersounds.

Just had a look at the spec on that and notice 20ms Input lag, is that good for a TV? it sounds a lot but I've no idea what the normal is on a TV.

It's meant to be quite good for a tv from what I read. I use mine with both the 360 and PS3 and have not noticed anything untoward.

Say whaaat? I sit about 3ft away from my LG 50" and it's amazing!

I have a 50" LG and I just find a 32" better for gaming. The low res of the consoles does not translate very well to big screens. I was playing on my Pc monitor but wanted something inbetween and found a 32" tv to be perfect.

I disagree :). 1080p output looks better than 720p and it's easier to see what's going on with a bigger screen, and it's more immersive for anything like flying or driving.

Anything less than or equal to 1 frame of lag is good for a TV. 1 frame equals about 16 or 17ms (60hz) or 20ms (50hz) so that spec is good. I believe that cheaper TVs (with less picture processing which introduces additional lag) tend to be better for gaming. That's my understanding anyway ....

Personally I would spend a bit more and get a 32" full HDTV, just remember, the bigger the TV the further you need to sit from it!

edit: oh and 100Hz if you can stretch to it!
