TV help! please

Right ok, I want my pc to output on my tv, as a second monitor...

Simple? Obviously!...

WELL THEN WHY WONT IT WORK?

I have as follows:
BFG 7800GT --> HDTV dongle --> composite cable --> TV IN.

Yes ok, tv not detected, nvidia drives wont output to it. Saw a thread talking about tvtool, downloaded, didn't read anything hit the big green shiney button and lost my primary display. But, we have epilepsy enducing flickering of my desktop/blue screen on the tv. Hoorah there is a god.

After uninstalling nvidia drivers and reinstalling to get my primary display back, I'm at square one. Changed a few settings in tvtool and am now scared to hit the big green button again incse it all goes bums up. I have a headache, im slightly ill and cba with this to fail again.

Someone just explain how and why this isnt working, and how to make it work? Please!

Hmm, you mean TV-out which actually is video not a TV reception.

Your card has VIVO ?

The GTX here has VIVO but there aint a GT left to look at.

If its a bit easier, could someone just explain in "omg you noob" terms on how to get this working. :/

I'm not trying to get a tv reception, just my pc, on my tv.

oh and that tvtools thing just died and said my "shareware version has a 15 min time limit" ... guh

Hummm ok, i have a black screen with green/purple verticle strip flickering to a blue screen \o.

TV IN would be Video IN and thats to capture a signal to your PC using nero or wmm, you need connect s-video cable from your TV set to TV-OUT / Video out on dongle

Tv doesnt have svideo... It's only an old crappy thing
