TV in bathroom

steam is going to be the issue here so you need to put it inside the wall and yes put a glass / perspex / plastic over the front enclosing it in.

then you have the issue of keeping it ventilated so then require additional cooling or ventilation within the duct.

it's a generally terrible idea, why not get a waterproof tablet?

Can't you just drag a portable telly running of an extension lead and balance it on the bottom edge of the bath? ;)

Tablet + clear zip lock bag....

I've used a laptop in the bathroom before, just crashed in the bath after a really rough day and dumped the laptop on the clothes basket away from the water.

Good luck with house insurance though if you start doing non-professional installs of electrical items in a bathroom ;)

Why would you?

I go into the bathroom to **** and take a shower. I certainly don't hang around long enough to watch anything on telly.

OP is an AV geek. No different then people who mount 40-65" tvs in their kitchen/bedroom, or install those crappy sonos speakers in every room of the house.

I have a 50" in my bedroom.

However I would never put speakers in every room of the house or tv's in the bathroom.

TV in the bathroom goes against the whole point of being in there tbh. If your having a bath the whole point is to relax and enjoy it not be watching game of thrones. Same for sitting on the throne. get in and get out. watch tv in the living room, games room or bedroom.

if it was an important game and i had to pee i would do so during the break or when play had stopped for an injury, etc.

How can you say that about the bathroom and then have a massive TV in your bedroom? Bedroom is for sleeping, and love making. TV belongs in the lounge.

Sit on the toilet for an hour and you will probably end up with piles.

I don't think you need a TV in the bathroom....unless you are a major coke dealer like Tony Montana and you have a hot tub in the living room.

I stayed in a hotel once where the mirror reflected the TV in the next door room. Could you do that? Get a Chromecast plugged in and control it with your phone.
