I think you've got your answer, buy yourself the LG your insurer won't and you'll pay what they'll give you for it in the coming years.

Thanks to ALL reply's despite the difference's, no offence intended, im sorry if i have, but i felt i was being jumped on by a few. I just thought that my blu ray picture playback on this tv was outstanding, really! B.Ray Fury looked so great! and im so sorry to lose it. But in a ideal world! if we could all do the pepsi challenge (pepsi & pulp fiction quote) in a tv's all lining up together with the best of the old (last 10years), against the brand new 4k low end tv, (the pick it up with one hand crap) it would be good to see........ I understand tech moves on, but imagine getting a replacement, and watching a test movie, saying no its not as good? Im thinking i will try my best on the ins claim, and just buy a new tv out of my own pocket anyway. Maybe sony kd55xh9005 maybe @ 899, i think they do a 48" @ 750
