I currently use a 3 tier glass TV stand with my 50" TV but I don't like how open it is and how much dust it collects.

I've had a look at Ikea and the like but nothing seems to tickle my fancy, not looking to spend a lot of money but want something functional. My only concern would be cooling if it was enclosed, I use CEC to control the audio so its not important that it has a glass front.

Any ideas?

I've been looking on and off for the last few months. Me and my partner thought about checking out IKEA but there was nothing that suited what we wanted. In the end we've decided to purchase the AVF Buckingham 1400

It can be found over £100 cheaper elsewhere. There are other types which I really like from AVF which may suit what you're looking for, just browse the list on John Lewis or elsewhere.

Op asked for closed stand the one above is open fronted ? Mine is donkeys old and cost me £100. Problem with it due to it being not wide I can only have TV's with a mid stand. Luckily the 4k Panny I have has an adjustable stand.
It has glass front, open sides and slot down the rear centre middle. Ideally you need to think the same as a PC case. Some of your AV devices have fans so they will suck are in and exhaust out. A completely closed unit would not be good. You could always put somekind of filter if you find a cabinet that is not completely closed. Argos have anything ?

I've got a BDI Casata, it's absolutely stunning, but then, so is the price...

I got an AVF Burghley 1250.

A pain to get the doors aligned! But good unit overall. £250

Exact same one I have my 58" panny on and yes the doors are a pain to get aligned properly.

I gave up after an hr or so of faffing around with with it.

Is that stand above ok with ventilation for games consoles and the glass IR friendly.

Im like OP and my glass stand attracts the dust, I take it the bottom shelve stays quite dust free?

Thanks

Hah I spent around 3 hours!
Was almost tempted to hand back my engineering degree :p

Yeah the cabinet is well ventilated, I've kept the back panel off the amp side to fit it in, and it it has openings on the underside specifically for ventilation.

Glass is IR friendly.

I've only had the unit a couple weeks so couldn't really comment on dust. It doesnt seem bad though.

I've had mine since December and dust is minimal although my missus always gives it a wipe down.
But in my front room, I have wooden flooring so dust is on existent but if it was upstairs in my room, then it would be full of dust lol.

That stand looks nice but i don't think my Dali Kubic One would fit in the shelf with it been 16cm tall. So im after a Alphason with a seperate bracket to raise the tv so i could put the soundbar underneath and hoping the tv raises more then 16cm

Yea is that the off the wall stand. I was looking at one of them the other day with a soundbar that could go underneath think id need to see one in front of me to decide they do look good though

I've got a Off the Wall Stand. Pretty good, takes up little floor space so fitted my subwoofer next to and underneath the TV. It has two shelves and a bottom stand. One negative is the shelving is supported by a single middle strut, the glass shelves can rotate (bad) But I like it as the vesa bracket is height adjustable and so are the two shelves, so you can can height of the TV correct, and place the center speaker as high as possible without blocking the TV screen.
