Im thinking of having our sky turned off mainly due to it being bonk and a total rip and me not actually watching any of the channels, problem is my kids watch a few disney type channels streamed to their xbox's/laptops via sky go so id lose that and gain some whiney kids.

is there any decent TV streams worth subbing to ? netflix tv section has quite a poor choice and nowTV from sky apparently dont do tv shows.... trade discriptions anyone ?

are there any streaming services that offer a good range of tv shows mainly the said disney/nick jr stuff ?

Sony Entertainment Network has a fair amount of content but not sure what devices have access to what i.e. some content is only available to streaming on Sony devices.

I've never seen one that has it all tho and you'd probably end up spending as much for sky trying to get it from multiple online services.

Tonnes on stuff to watch on Netflix, if you get access to the US side then the content just dwarfs what we have in the UK. I tried Lovefilm but never managed to stream well probable due to the fact I only have 2.4 adsl yet somehow Netflix manages fine on it.

Netflix is the best, it's got tons on tv shows on it. If you aren't happy with netflix then the others will look worse.

Get unblock-us it's a few dollars a month, but then also opens up Hulu and other American services, they are so much further down the digital road than us.

NowTV has the potential to be amazing as Sky own so many exclusivity deals, so netflix and the others will never be awesome.
NowTV will be introducing sport and Tv shows, but who knows when.
ATM you have to pay for it, understandable as sports on nowtv is live. I'm hopping they'll eventually do live paid for and then stick it on the normal subscription latter in the day.
Just have to wait and see how it unfolds.
