TVR Chimaera

With TVRs, the servicing is the least of your worries, it's the bits that fall off/blow up/stop working that will cost you an arm and a leg!

Check out this guy. He's only done 2000 miles and it's cost him around £13k :(

Probably doesn't help that he's had loads of upgrades fitted though!

I've always wanted a TVR since the Cerbera first came out, I haven't even started driving yet.... but I will get a TVR one day :)

I can still remrmber the day that during Footy training last year one of my mates dad's (who has a Cerbera 4.2) was parked in the carpark revving the engine and generally showing off.

Kinda put me off of running laps around the pitch.

The noise is incredible, but I think the price of running (and insurance :s) will put me off for about 10 years after I stat driving :p

That was just an example one though, there are loads of people on Pistonheads that have spent tens of thousands in repairs etc. (try looking at how much some of the poor Tuscan owners have spent  )

My dad mates mate bought one and took my dads mate out for a spin, he lost it at 120mph, went over the centre verge on the motorway and hit another car head on. The driver was admitted hospital and shortly later released as alright, but bruised, however, my dad mate had to be cut out the car, when he was out the skin on his head was split and you could apparantely see his skull, and still has a very bad stutter due to slight brain damage. The doctors said he was extremely lucky to be alive, and really he should have been 6 foot under.

He had only had the car a few days though, but yes, they are extremely tricky, epecially when your an idiot with them. A dry straight road, and the back still managed to snap, so id say that they are pretty bad.
