I own an ATI x850xt. I mainly play a 2D game at the moment, which works weirdly. a lot of people with very low end geforce cards seem to be faster ingame than anyone else, probably because a lot of GFX manufacturers now concentrate on 3D performance and not 2D. I'd like to know if there are any tweaks or tips to increase my 2D performance instead of buying a crappy geforce card. Thanks in advance.

Yes i've done that, running ACPI now. Tried overclocking doesn't do anything noticeable to my performance.
They're faster because they actually skip on my screen if i'm on my other PC. On this PC (x850xt) they don't skip and jump forward in graphics but they are a lot faster (some graphics of there's are displayed very quickly because it has to catch up with how fast they are).
TGG, i've tried some of bullpit's tweaks (which also included yours). It doesn't seem to have done anything noticeable either.
