Hi, i'm new to this and its quite confusing im starting to get the thing on how to talk to people but when you go on someone elses twitter its just like there talking random stuff to someone else so how do i see what they are replying to?

Also any good people to follow that i might have missed. :p

If you use a good twitter client, then you can simply click on one of their messages and a conversation view should appear, showing the entire convo from the start. This varies from client to client.

It takes time to get into, let alone see the benefits if you are new but it is a tremendously useful tool as you can get news by the minute. I tend to use it as a replacement for bloat-tastic MSN mostly, but I also use it to keep track of travel news as well as what is happening in my town.

The naysayers kind of make me laugh. "I'm too cool to use twitter and lame stuff like that" <wanders off to post on random forum, and then facebook>. :)

Twitter is a bit like a maths problem.

It's not very intuitive or user friendly despite being really simple. Does that make sense?

Feel free to add me. ADD ME!

What client do you use?

True, I'm far too cool for OCuK but I still continue to post here. However the reason I don't use twitter is because I don't give a **** what a celebrity had for breakfast.
Then follow people who post more interesting stuff
Twitter is entirely subscription based so if your feed is full of crap it's because you followed those people. Mine is on the whole pretty interesting, if people start tweeting too much rubbish I unfollow them.

You don’t have to use it for the celebrity, buffoon, teeny, idiot tweets.

Why would I care about most of it though? Any big news will be in... the news. No celebs etc have ever said anything I've been remotely interesred in. If I want to talk to people I know I can phone them or even facebook them. At least with facebook it's a bit more personal and there's a good chance for an actual conversation.

So it's not that Twitter is ****, it's just that you know nothing about it.
