Is it worth the upgrade for 100 knicker ?

Got a Sapphire 4850 512MB just now, The XFX ATI Radeon HD 4850 "XXX Edition" 512MB Is going for £100, What difference will i see ?

I'm playing on a 22" 1920 X 1080 Asus monitor, Would it be wasted on a small 22" monitor ?

It's not the size of the monitor that matters, it's the resolution, and your resolution is pretty high. I Would say that you would notice a difference, but go and check some reviews for some benchmarks results yourself.

So it would be a worthwhile upgrade ?

Should i be looking at selling the 4850 and putting all my money into another card ?

I suppose the 4850's will come down in price and, I could another in tri-crossfire.

Id sell the 4850 and put the money into another/better card with more memory, as if you go Xfire, your still only going to have 512mb, and more memory than that would be better at that res.

I was thinking another card with more memory, That 4870 1GB is the same price as i paid for my 4850 not so long ago!!

How much would i be asking for a second hand 4850 ?

I had two 4850's in crossfire for a while and to be honest, I didn't find many games where it made enough of an improvement for me to notice.

Not even Crysis FPS went up by much. Other games I tried :- GTA IV, TDU, GRID, Assasins Creed and Fallout 3.

Ive got two 4850s Xfired up atm on that resolution, I dont find any games struggle, but im sure that with only 1 they would, so either get another 4850 or sell up and put the money towards a 4890 possibly.
