I have looked at their help section and cant seem to find the answers for;

1) Item has excessive postage costs and if someone says in the desc. the P&P costs is to pay for the postage, packaging, time used to goto Post Office and for extra money as fees are high, is this allowed?

2) Items desc. says the seller wont be resposible for damage/loss unless the bidder pays insurance/secure delivery. Surely this sint allowed as its their job to get the item to you?? Or is this allowed as you would have read the desc before bidding?

1) They can charge what they like for postage, but you don't have to pay it. Most of the time they're just trying to sucker you in with a low auction price. There used to be a load of bootleg samurai swords from China in the collectibles section going for 1p and £60.00 postage. Presumably you are talking about this sort of thing?

2) No, it's the courier's job to get the item to you. If the item is important or expensive you should most definitely get some sort of insurance unless it's special delivery.

1. Fine apart from the bit to cover the fees.

2. You bought it from them, it's their job to get it to your in one piece, if the courier breaks it, the seller has to deal with it.

All are ok apart from 'for extra money as fees are high'

He/She should pay for the advertising not you.

You could always ask if theres any chance of a discount on postage

I've an eBay question as well.

Why is it that I keep getting this error after entering a postage amount for something I'm selling?

Please provide the correct information in the highlighted fields.
Postage cost - P&P cost in this category can't be more than £0.00. Learn more

Doesn't make sense, it's saying I can't charge for postage? :confused:
