Two Lossie tornados down

Oh ****. Im gonna phone up some of the lads and see if I can get some info. Hope it wasnt my old Sqn.

Fingers crossed for crew.

I'm sure this will be internally investigated. I'm sure there'll be a load of people will turn up soon saying how they shouldn't be doing xyz (they'll make xyz up based on their own assumptions). In reality though they are defence tools, if they don't train they won't be ready. Accidents happen unfortunately.

Just realised where Moray Firth is. I speant a week at RAF Lossiemouth. Great place and you get woken up every morning by the roar of tornados taken off which is awesome! The place is covered in seagul poo though :p

Mod edit - No need for the original reference..

Seems to have been quite a few incidents involving the Tornado GR4 in recent years. Could just be coincidence though as it is one of the more used aircraft in the RAF.

Yeah I hadnt been sure when 617 were due back. Turns out they aint back for a few weeks. 2 sqn I think are starting handover next weekend .

I now know what Sqn the jets were from but no real details. Everyone gets told to shut the hell up until things are confirmed.

Hopefully theyre found soon, my father worked at raf lossiemouth a few years ago, they were on site for so long they got to know a lot of people at the base pretty well.
