Hi there, i currently have a virgin media cable internet connection, and connected to the modem i have a four port netgear wireless router.

Now, four ports was fine for a period, but i now need more, for another desktop computer, and i don't want to have it on wireless so..

Is it possible to just plug another router into one of the originals ports and go straight away, or do i have to buy something else or upgrade completely

Thanks Tom.

You could connect the two routers by their switch ports and disable DHCP on one. Stupid buying another router though, given the price of a switch. A hub would be even more daft.

Yeah, a switch is easier, but you can use a router. Just dont plug anything into the WAN port.
I use a netgear router attatched to a 16 port gigabit switch. Much easier.
