Two players on one computer?

The following also support 2 players on 1 PC.

Lara Croft: Guardian Of Light
All the LEGO games (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, Harry Potter)
 
Ashes Cricket 2009 allows up to four players to play at once on the one screen (2 per side)

Soon to be released Dirt 3 has two player splitscreen

in theory, you could use an extended desktop, and then use a vertical split-screen game to have one of the splits on each monitor?

I say in theory because I've never tried it, but don't see why it wouldn t work, provided the game supported the dual-monitor resolution =)
 
As to games I play NBA 2K 2011, STREET FIGHTER 4, FIFA 2011 with my mates, using xbox360 wi-fi controllers

I did a split screen over 2 eyfinity monitors (TV-1x40"@1080p & PC Monitor-1x24"@1200p) on L4D2 with 2 360 controllers. If would have worked fine but my monitor didn't support scaling and I didn't like the stretched affect. If you can setup multiple mouse & keyboards I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do this.

I had problems playing online like this though so just ended up playing with a friends and two AI.
