Two queries: (Graphics, GPU cooler)

Hello.

1) I had just gotten some very strange graphical glitch, for the first time ever i saw two thick lines with smudged graphics, (one in the middle of the screen and the other on the far left. Is this something that i need to worry about or is it driver related (as a PC restart just solved the issue.) This happened after i launched Team fortress 2.
2) Is it possible to fit a GPU cooler from a different card. E.G Titan Cooler onto GTX 5xx/6xx?

Thanks.

1) Hope that it's a driver problem. If it happens again, update the drivers and try from there. If you still get the problem, check your temps, they might be too high. If temps seems fine, then it may be a GPU problem.

2) Usually no, unless they share the same PCB. There are many aftermarket coolers that can universally fit on many GPUs though, and are usually much better than stock.

3) Was you running anything at all on desktop? What GPU do you have?

1) I think you are right it is a Driver issue, I can't seem to replicate it.

2) it is actually a Titan cooler, it is either for a 560ti or a gtx 680

3) Aurora browser, but it doesn't gpu render, and the usage was going 80% then 0 and repeating every 2-3 seconds. I just hope it's not related to the issue 1. Running windows defender now on a full scan though, just in case.

They are gtx 560ti in SLI, the windows screen also lost aero. Could be a driver crash. I'm on .18 I think ( or whatever GeForce experience updates it to.
Thanks for the reply.

A Titan cooler will definitely not fit a 560Ti or a 680.

I think I remember reading on the GPU forums that the latest drivers might not be that stable, perhaps roll back to the previous one, only if the problem occurs again though.

Hmm... do you mean Firefox Aurora or is this a completely different browser?

Yes it is the Firefox.
This driver is whql, is it not?
Which part of the cooler would not fit? They seem the right size, and I'm sure the heatsinks are over the chips, ah well. I like just looking at it anyway. :)

It's WHQL but it doesn't mean it's perfect :p

While it may fit over the chip, it may not fit other components such as the memory chips, VRM, etc. Screw holes may not match up either. I wouldn't risk it.

And I'm pretty sure Firefox is hardware accelerated by default :p. Unless you disabled that in the options...

Ill be optimistic and hope it will fit, I'll see I guess when i get it, it's worth a try even if it doesn't fit.

Even if it is hardware accelerated would it really use 80% on two graphics cards? And it had never done it before.
