i dont like this game ,dosent even have a crosshair and the engine feels wierd ,
It's supposed to be semi-realistic, hence no crosshair. Use your ironsight. Just because your bad at it doesn't mean its a bad game :p As for the engine, I'm not sure what you mean. It uses the Unreal Engine 2.5, the same as UT2004, America's Army, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and many more. Not sure how it feels "weird".

I've still one pass left for anyone who wants it. :)

i'd agree that the engine and game character movement do seem a little 'clunky' at first. But once you get used to the fact that the game is not supposed to be as fast and fluid as CoD or DoD then it can be an incredibly immersing gaming experience.

They've just released a new patch for it with support for 50+ players - very intense!

ill have one if theres any spares, please
what email is it you need? if its just any email then its in my trust if not ill find my steam email for ya :D

thanks in advance

Game looks ok so far after playing it a bit, but can't help to notice the very stupid ai, odd moving ai models.
Gfx are very nice in some places (manly cities) while really poor in others (mainly open area's), also I expected more gore, the blood /bodies seem to disappear way too soon.

Performance is 20-40 fps @ 1280x1024 with the game on highest/maxed settings on everything + 2x AA & 4x AF forced in nvidia panel on my 6800gs...

Can't seem to get into driving/using vehicles due to the really crap view fields, probably cos im used to 3rd person bf2/bf1942 camera's...

Ill try more tomorrow to see if i can get into it.

There is no AI, unless your playing with bots, which is bad! As for the models, I think they move fine, though they do get into some strange positions sometimes and it can get anoying when your close to something as you can suddenly jump ontop of it.

Graphics are great for a game running on UE2.5, though I agree they could do with an improvement in some places. There is a lot of gore, people get limbs blown off and blood splatters all over the floor and walls! The body disappearing timer is a server parameter I think, I guess they set it low to reduce lag.

Being based on an old engine I run at 60FPS+ at all times, 4xAA 16xAF 1280*1024 with my 7800GT. Performs very well, though some custom maps slow it down a little as I guess they don't know how to optimize them properly.

As for the vehicles, yes they do take a lot of getting used too. But once you have they can be great fun.

Don't forget it's not your average FPS game like CSS or BF2. It is designed to be as realistic as it can be while still remaining fun. It can take a lot of getting used too. Stick to it, it only gets better :)

More gore than this?

not sure if the unreal engine has a client side command to make them stay there longer.

It's somewhat more realistic though. Also if you didn't know you can use the scroll wheel to move into a better position for viewing.

I'm all out now otherwise I'd send you one!

Your signature is too large though. Why not have a read of the forum FAQ :)

I'm playing practise mode, and have yet to find such gore except in screenshots, body's seem to disappear instantly , and not the pools of blood
I seemed to expect.

I am playing with bots, in mp I can't seem to do anything but die, I have no idea where to go, where to shoot to, and where enemy is...

Also plagued with the behind enemy lines message and a bridge too far message, if i cant go behind enemy lines capture points, what am I supposed to do then?

But project reality for bf2 for example is too, yet there, I was quite good @ it immediatly from start, I just find RO very odd to lets say the original game: ut2k4

Ill probably just have to get used to it longer, tomorrow when I'll come back from school ill try it again for a few hours :) .

Maybe you have gore turned down in the settings?

Also if you're getting behind enemy lines then you're in the wrong place. Look on the situation map (not sure what the default binding is but I have mine bound to tab) and it will show you where you are and where the point to capture or defend is. Bridge too far sounds like you're on danzig.. if you get that on danzig then your objectives are mainly defence.

:)
