I currently have a Corsair 120 GB as my Windows 7 system drive.
I am awaiting a second identical drive and intend using the two SSD's as raid0

Once this is up and running with Windows 7 64 bit, I intend to introduce 3 standard Sata drives for storage. (I have 5 Sata Ports on the board).
My worry is, could the standard sata's be included in the raid without me wanting this.

I ask as I have a lot of stuff on these drives I dont want to lose.

The interface will allow you to select which drives you want in your array. But if you're not sure what you're doing, then you can always physically disconnect the drives you don't want in the array until its established. Then ofc plug them back in again...

I have no idea what you're using, so some more info would help... But for home user / enthusiast mobo's with on board raid controllers its usually a section within the bios that you need to enable or change to RAID mode, which will then in-turn allow you to access a secondary screen to configure raid settings. It should tell you exactly which drives are in your array. Its pretty simple to do, but if you're unsure about anything then read the manual that came with your mobo.

For dedicated raid cards it can be a little more complex, but they usually have their own dedicated bios which aren't too tough to figure out. Just don't go creating a software raid-set in windows, or anything silly like that :P
