** TWO STUNNERS FROM SAMSUNG!! **

I was planning on buying a new tv for my room to watch films on, but I think that 32" VA would be perfect, IPS glow sucks for films, especially as I have been used to Panny Plasmas for the past few years.

Yes IPS glow starts to irritate after a period of use but then if you are using panny plasmas then LCD`s do so even more.

Well now I want the 27". Will start to save, my laptop just crapped out this last 20mins. Think it's time for a new one first.

IF the 27" has an input lag of less than 15, then It will be my next purchase.

No reviews out for the 27" that I can find and certainly no trusted reviews (Baddass - TFT Central)

Any one shed any light on the performance of the 27" ?

Well, I had a Panny LCD before my plasma, and it was a VA panel, and films looked way better on it than TN or IPS screens imo.

Basically, my order of preference for films/TV = OLED > Plasma > VA > IPS > TN

Are 1440p monitors worth it any more when 4K monitors are pretty much the same price? Is the only benefit an IPS panel?

This may sound silly, but the requirements to run 4k games (graphics and psu) are quite insane for a lot of people. I am not interested in crossfire/sli, so a decent 1440p monitor is on my radar...

Very tempted, even with cheaper 4K on the radar I can't see myself going to those higher resolutions for several years to come...but could be wrong.

Sounds about right tbh. These monitors look excellent!

That 32 looks so tempting... i dont think 4k is affordable for some time yet, it will be some time till one gpu can handle that which is my target have bad memories of dual gpus and cannot justify the money. Also now looking at the games that are being released on the pc platform and i can barelly see something that would interest me. Maybe WOW or SC2 next expansion but those games hardly need the gpu power. Thumbs up on the monitors!

People saying that the 4k monitors are of equal price. Maybe at face value. But considering the sheer grunt needed to run 1440p let alone 4k. You need an animal of a machine which most people just don't have.

I struggle at 120hz @1440p. My machine can do it on CS:GO just. Really wouldn't like to try 4K. Think it would blow up.

Love the look of the monitors. The slim bezel silver looks fantastic. Once they release a 120hz 1440p monitor with the look of the samsungs then i'm all over it.
