Guys,

My laptop when on it's docking station uses a Linksys wireless-N dongle. When removed from the docking station I enable the onboard wireless.

Is there anyway for me not to be enabling/disabling and I can manually set for which connection to get priority or anything like that?

Thanks

Yes you can set the priority but it is not a very well known feature.

Go to Network Connections.

If you are on vista, press the left Alt key to bring up the menu below. On XP it should already be visible.

File | Edit | View | Tools | Advanced

Go to Advanced, Advanced Settings. From here you can change the order.

Thanks for the suggestion and even so the priority as it should be if I have the laptop off the docking station using the internal wireless, in theory if I put the laptop on the d/s again the wireless should transfer to the Linksys dongle but it remains on the internal card :(

You might be better posting in the Windows sub forum, Im pretty sure you can set different hardware profiles for when it is docked and not. Afraid I cant be anymore help but to say im 95% sure its possible.
