Not gonna lie, Two Worlds II is just an amazing beautiful game, runs flawlessly. I'm shocked there isn't an actual thread for this, I know Two Worlds I was very cult, and widely hated, but this has to be the biggest improvement I've ever seen in a sequel. Just wow.

It's in the Steam sales now for half price: Link - Sadly it was 75% off earlier. :(

A fantastic mod to use is 'Worldmerge' found here (official forum topic), here (OCUK mod topic) and here (direct download. I've scanned the mediafire download package for viruses and it's clean.

The above mod adds:

Character Customization:

This is amazing, usually you to choose your basic build, and that's it, you're stuck being the generic bald captive guy. But with the mod you can be anything, and they all work in game. It also adds about 5x as much detailed editing options as vanilla:

I think it's absolutely amazing how much this has improved over Two Worlds I, all graphics are vanilla. Looks a lot better than Skyrim, and just as good as The Witcher II IMO.

I get 70fps outside which is phenomenal. Developers need to go to Reality Pump and learn how to optimize games for PC tbh, especially Bethesda/Rockstar!

Did anyone else pick this up in the sale? Steam in sig if you're down for coop.

I probably will pick this up eventually; I nearly did during one of the sales iirc. I've only got the first, but the zone keeps calling me back. :)

It's really good mate, the animations are abit iffy, but in my opinion it's like Stalker, but with swords and magic. :p

A flawed masterpiece.

It looks good, but isn't this one of those game that has terrible DRM. I remember being put of by the fact you only got a few activations of the game, which were also very sensitve to hardware of software changes.

You can ask them for more activation's, and they'll give it. Why did spell check suggest a ' in 'activations' now that's red underlined now.

Those screenshots do look good. Something for me to mod one day. :)

Make your own mod? :O

There are texture mods too, lots of em I think, but I'm happy with how it looks now, and whopping around at 50-70 fps is bloody fantastic, Skyrim is usually between 20-50, horrible game.

I thoroughly enjoyed TW2. Of course at some point I happened upon the insta-kill earthquake combo spell (after much experimenting and killing myself with summoned irons and implosions...) and then it kind of became a one-button kill game, but that was fairly near the end and it didn't quite get old before I finished it.

Nice looking, game, some fun little missions, and (until you suss how to break the game with spells) decent enough combat.

It is a great game, it's still dirt cheap at 50% off, you're paying what, £11 for about 150 hours if you enjoy RPG games, hardly a bad deal. :p

I'm confused though as to how this runs at such a high framerate, any other game I have, to get it to this level of visuals I'll be lucky to break past 35fps. Yet this is in the high fifties when in quite crowded places, when there is tons of detail on screen and also during high intensity fights with magic flying everywhere. The optimization is brilliant, sets the bar for quality on the PC, but maybe that is just because Reality Pump are one of the first developers to give a **** about AMD hardware and actually bother making the game run very well on it.

I have collectors editions of both games. First was slated a bit but once you get into it the game is very impressive. The only downside is horse riding sucks. But both games are great RPG's

Definitely, the first was pretty cack, but had alooot of good features. What I'd do to play Two Worlds on the Two Worlds II engine. :p
