Currently having a look for some reasonable budget performance tyres for my 620Ti. Essentially they need to be 205/55 R16 and rated to 140mph, and be fairly decent in wet conditions. Any advise folks?.

"Budget" and "good in wet conditions" dont usually appear on the same tyre choice I'm afraid.

Continental PremiumContact2's seem to be the best bang for buck in your size requirements IMO.

Go on Black Circles and E-Tyres and do some digging. :)

I got 4x Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3 tyres in that size for £70 a corner. You can't really do much better for the price.

Toyo Proxes T1-R are a cheaper alternative but are a false economy as they will wear out almost twice as quick.

Ah, I was almost set on Toyo T1-R's, seem to get a mixed review regarding the wet weather performance though. I'll have a gander at the Eagle F1 GSD-3's.

The Vredestien Ultrac, the ones up from the sportrac 3's can be had for the same price. Got a full set put on my car 2 weeks ago and very impressed.

Shall have a gander at these too.

Cheers all :).

Toyo's, camskill.co.uk do them really cheap, with del built into the cost, or was when i ordered them, (i bought some in the same size for my car, they are fine!!)

Like I said, false economy. They wear out very quickly compared to Eagle F1's which aren't even particularly good either when it comes to wear.

Uniroyal Rainsport 1 tyres have good reviews, good wear rate good grip in the wet and dry and a nice feedback of when they are " Letting go "

Budget, performance tyres, that are decent in the wet and rated at 140mph?

ROTFL.

Do you know how much of a contradiction there is in what you're saying?

Since when are you going to be driving at 140mph? In the wet? Round a fast bend? And you want Nangking prices?

Avoid the budget cr@p, don't skimp, and get some decent tyres - it could save your life and those of others.

Ultracs would be the best, T1-R a reasonable compromise in terms of price / performance.

If you can't afford to fit your car with proper tyres, get yourself a smaller car.
