Hi

I'm after some new tyres for the BM's new alloys, the tyre profiles are 225/40/18 and 255/35/18, I've seen some Toyo PXT1-R that im quite fond of, but also would like other people's opinions? I dont want to spend a huge amount but i certainly dont want to skimp on cheap tyres..These seemed to be in Mid-range and cost £403 in total.

Any help would be great

Where?

Never seen them that low?

They are £290 delivered for the rears at Camskill and £220 for the fronts which gives you £510 and thats before fitting?

Got the new F1's on the mondeo, 225/40/18's cost me £470 fitted balanced etc.

Just check around you should be able to get them around that, but i wouldn't say you could get them for any thing lower than 115 at that size.

My vote goes for Michelin PS2. I've had these and Goodyear Eagle F1 Assym's and I prefer the Michelin's on my 330. Goodyear's are probably quieter, maybe they even have a higher grip threshold, but the Michelin's win for niceness to drive on.

You can get those for 200 quid saw them on the internet.

You won't find the GYs at that price. Camskill are one of the cheapest if not THE cheapest tyre shop online. I used to be a GY GSD3 fanboy and have admittedly not had the chance to try the Asyms, but the Sessantas are stunning tyres in design, performance and looks. Until they stop making them this is all that will be gracing my wheels

We need some new ones, stuck between fk452 and sessanta.
To be honest, never actually had an issue with 452s and they're £20 cheaper.

Ah yes, 452's, Famous on the BMW forums because they are super cheap so everyone convinces themselves they are amazing. Cos of course they are all tyre testing experts and able to accurately tell the differences in braking distances between their old tyres and the super bargain 452's.

my vote is for fox's second suggestion, vredestein ultra sessantas, got a set on 500 miles ago and they are so far excellect, prefer them to the eagle f1s i had on the rears before that but that's my preference :)

Tom.

ty for the responses so far ill check the ones fox has suggested see what prices are the best

Edit: had a look on camskill and the vredestein ones are around £414ish which seems good so i think ill order these in the morning
