There not that bad tbh. In the dry they ware remarkably grippy aswell as being progressive and they do seem to work very well with the Focus chassis. Since changing from P6000's my Focus has lost a bit direct steering feel and everything feels a bit wooly.
Mine also is a 99 Focus Zetec. Seems to perfectly compliment the chassis.
P6000s might 'feel' okay in the dry but they are absolutely horrendous in the wet. They don't lose grip progressively and break traction unexpectedly in turns and fast sweepers. I just wonder whether the progressiveness of the Focus chassis masks how genuinely bad they are. The double whammy (as others have already pointed out) is that they are a complete rip off in terms of price.
