I shall shortly be buying my first ever pair of new tyres for wear reasons rather than wheel changes or punctures.

However my car seems to have eaten the insides of both the front tyres & left the middle & outer sections with loads of tread, think i have gotten 6.5 - 7k out of them & am now having to replace them as surely it's an MOT Failure?

Is this normal?

Rear tyres still have loads of tread allover.

sounds like the toe of the wheels is out, usually the wisbones / ball joints... and or tracking.

I get that on all four wheels but thats because I have had the car laser aligned with 1.25 degs of neg camber on the front and 1.5degs of neg camber on the rear with a bit of toe in.

hmm insides worn, I can pretty much say its in need of new wishbones / ball joints...

what car is it?

Ford Capri 2.8i & it's got new balljoints.

Heres a pic i took around May/June just after we had the car in the air & i first noticed the wear.

At first i thought the tracking was out but got it checked & it was spot on.
