Hi all,

I'm wanting 2 new front tyres for a car I've recently purchased, they've got plenty of tread left but their different brands, both I've never heard off and considering how cheap tyres are for my size I thought I'd replace them. The rears are new Yokohama BlueEarth’s and the size I'm looking for is 175/55/R15.

Now I've had a quick look and I haven't had to buy tyres for over 6 years but the thing that stands out to me are the amount of tyres where their wet performance is rated D's and E's, how are these even allowed to be sold? And now they've got fuel ratings, do they make that much of a difference?

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm just looking for an all-round good performance tyre, my car is only a small ecobox thing but I still want good tyres, not things where there rated as E's in the wet lol, or maybe it’s just best to buy the same as the rears?

Thanks in advance.
