Tz8 not compact enough :(

Guys

I have the above and it takes some great pictures but it's not compact enough for my needs I need something I can carry in my pocket and with a case on the tz8 is too big...

Thinking of selling it and getting something smaller but have no idea what?

Any suggestions

Will have a look at that, first glance it looks fairly chunky compared to the 220?

Well depends how small you want to go but never had any issue slipping that into a pocket, but looking at the 220 though that looks very compact.

If size really matters (snigger) you're best off getting down to a camera shop or electronics retailer to check them out in the flesh to see which will suit.

Or if you can't find a specific model you like you can at least get an idea of the dimensions you'd be happy with.

Canon S95/100 if your budget allows and you don't need more than a 4x zoom.

What we talking for the s95? £200 ish?

£230, maybe a bit less on eBay. They're very pocketable although not that much smaller than the TZ8.

I just don't use the TZ enough as I want somethign I can drop in my pocket and forget about...

I picked up the s95 from the rainforest for £230. Very compact with some great features. Well worth checking out as it would appear to fit your requirements as it has a nicer profile and according to the above link the size difference is just over10%. Depends how compact you want to go.
