This thing is getting on my nerves now. Is it really worth running, or would you get away with turning it off?

Is there any way to configure it?

Yup got on my nerves, it's in user settings. Disabled it.

"Do you really really really want to rename this icon?"
"Are you really really sure?"
"Positive?"
"100% positive"

It is more secure. If you want to stop it irritating you, but not turn it off completely, you can modify the registry to auto-accept all prompts. This means that most processes are still running as non-admin, and IE still runs in protected mode.
