Ubisoft Points the Finger at AMD For Technical Bugs in Assassins Creed Unity

Happens quite a lot, AMD gave away a similar amount for BF4.

AMD spent more on BF4 as it also included game vouchers too,but its like DICE saying BF4 had bugs because of Nvidia which would be silly. Its just a stupid statment and Ubisoft is saving face now. Look at the press embargo after sales started or even the whole thing about micropayments too. They knew they were shipping a buggy game from the start. At this rate they will make EA look good.

Edit!!

It also appears they have stopped taking community feedback about the game too.

I bet EA are sitting back looking quite smug. Allowing reviews to be published a week before DA:I and the word being good. Oh how the tides have changed! :p

....and Mantle. How much development time did that take away from the DX version?

If Dice helped Develop Mantle well before AMD was even part of BF4 then how did AMD pay for it?
Mantle we now know was in Development for 4 years...

Anyway not turning another thread into Mantle ---- Head over to Mantle thread.

Conspiracy theory : blame the partnership with Nvidia for this. A perfect way to further discredit AMD at a time when the new GTX 900 series is running in the lead.

All making sense now..crazy requirements for Farcry 4 (290X), really bad performance in hairworks..and now bad performance in ACU on AMD products...

So essentially you're implying that if dice hadn't implemented mantle that BF4 may have released in a better state? That might hold water if dice and ea didn't have a track record of releasing games that were buggy as all hell on launch and require numerous updates to fix glaring issues that "somehow" slipped past QA testing.

Can we keep this thread focussed on Ubi's rubbishness, please?

Let's not stoop to their level and bring the GPU companies into it.

Ubisoft - Patchysoft

Ubisfot has been **** poor on release for years now and show no signs of improving. IMO its a shame as they have some good titles under their belt.

The answer to BF4/ACU usp dev time taking away from 'X' quality is zero, the work was paid for by the vendors via guaranteed payment via profit from 'X' amount of game vouchers.

Same people same flawed dig.

yup its for the reason of UBISOFT 30FPS malarky! hahah 30 fpd and its cinematic feel buwahahahahahaha

Sounds like Unity is as rubbish as COD warfare with all its bugs etc.

So Unity will be worth buying in a years time when its all patched up and available for a tenner?

Check - will make a note in my calendar.

"Must buy AC:Unity 14/11/2015 after over a gigs worth of patches have been installed and all the forums are sayings its playable now."

The game (in its current state) is issuing approximately 50,000 draw calls on the DirectX 11 API. Problem is, DX11 is only equipped to handle ~10,000 peak draw calls.

So you would have thought the logical thing to do would be to optimize your draw calls or look for another solution (Mantle).

New release from Ubi this Christmas, THE BLAME GAME.

I wouldn't bet on it. 2 years on and they still having fixed the bugged convoy issue in ac3 where it just disappears but stays in your list as under attack.

Ac3 was the first ac game i never completed and I never bought black flag, doubt ill buy unity either based on the issues

Cue ubisoft blaming piracy if the game doesn't sell well on pc instead of accepting they made a mess of it.

Personally hope it does not sell well on the consoles as after Black Flag this was a must for me on the PS4 but not now with all the bugs and low fps. There's no excuse for this on a fixed platform like the consoles. It's no wonder when it comes to the PC version it's bug riddled. Ubisoft failed really hard with this one.
