Hi all, i am new to linux and loving it tbh:D

My only problem is haing just installed it on my laptop i cannot for the life of me work out how to get the display to show up on my monitor,

Wouldnt be a problem but the screen on my laptop is starting to crap out and i would like to be able to just plug my monitor lead in and use that instead, like i used to with windows! I am sure there is a simple way but i dont know it, ive not really used the terminal tho so i dont know if something is in there!

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

"Video Card nVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 256MB (upto 1023MB with TurboCache)"

Yea, it doesn't work on nVidia cards. Make sure the nVidia driver is installed then use the nVidia control panel.

Or look into disper, I have this mapped to Fn+F7:
Code:
disper -r max -d auto -e -t right
