Ubuntu................NX machine problems

I updated my Ubuntu which is with OVH and hosted some where else.

Now my windows box cant connect from nx machine but i can connect via putty but i know nothing about ubuntu and normall use wine as its a hosting box.

I can also connect via secure FTP

Anyone advise me on what to do?

Ive been puttying in and then sudo reboot but i cant connect remote anymore

Please can anyone help as nx machine just connects then opens up a screen then says connection can not be established

Nearly connected the last time as i could see the menu along the top line but then when it tryed to display the rest it went wrong!

You might want to check this via SSH and check and see if you have and stalled locks on the NX host.

/usr/NX/var/db/running # ls
display{last} .InfoManager.lock sessionId{90F805960717A122AEAA1009A6944F37}

just remove the lock file and try and get in again.

If you still have problems dump the NX client msg into a window so we can see it.

i reinstalled ubuntu in the end as i couldnt wait any longer.
