Ubuntu on an OLD laptop

I run EasyPeasy on my Eee901 with no issues. The big advantage to me was that it was designed for netbooks (in fact, I think it was designed for the EeePC) so all the drivers were already there - particularly the Webcam and WiFi/bluetooth drivers, which can be fiddly. Space wasn't an issue - the 901 has one 12GB system and one 8GB storage SSD (and they aren't particularly fast ones, either) but I'm well under that on both drives.

I don't think mine is capable of 1080p playback, you'd want at least the later models than the original 900/901/904/1000 series, but probably something with a little more grunt.

What's your budget?
