So, most UCAS applications seem to be off for September 2008, who's had offers and for where? Mine's only just gone off :D

Not had any offers yet? Everyone I've spoken to who sent them off about 2 weeks ago or less have started having offers come in

All unis have replied.

They gave me two dates for an interview and the letter said that if I couldn't make it they would give me an offer based on my UCAS form.

I emailed them saying if they could give me an offer based on my form because I couldn't attend.

:)

Forgot to add, I've applied to Portsmouth, Surrey, Leeds Met, Leeds College of Music and Coventry. All to do Music Tech/Music Production courses. Leeds College of Music is my first choice ideally :)

Who would opt into an interview? :p

Hopefully they'll do the same for me then. Not looking forwards to loads of long journeys again..

My tutor said earlier today universities will give you more consideration if you come across well in the interview which is obviously understandable. I'm personally going to all interviews I'm offered to attend.

mine's not long gone off

i got a letter from Leeds yesterday, asking me to come for an interview (chemistry)

i've friends with sets of offers though, but they sent theirs off before mine =p

and, typically, a good interview = a lower offer ;)

Why would you opt out? By going along you get the chance to let them know about yourself and presumably stand a chance of reducing your offer. More importantly you get to talk to someone who will probably be involved in your course later on. It would be silly to avoid going along just because you're "scared of the interview". If they've offered you a place before the interview then they won't chance their minds after meeting you (you'd have to do something very silly!)
