Wow, I've only played the shooter game so far, but its just pushed the right buttons. I want UT4 and for it to be good (back to basics!).

Edit: Use the USA#2 server, it might have high load but it gave me 4mb/s vs the TPU-UK servers 30kb/s

This is a remastered PS4 demo rather than the PC one of 2012.

In the folder called shooter launch the .bat file and play. Set local host with bots and enjoy.

A few screens using 'walk' 'ghost' and 'fly' around the level... it does not look great once your free to look around, but it was obviously not designed to be explored. Its always interesting having a dig around though.

Its looking good, but suffers from serious CPU Bottlenecking, it needs Mantle

Joking aside the CPU efficiency of this is like Metro LL and BL2, torturous.

Righty, in the download pack in the OP, you get a folder called 'Shootergame'

inside this folder double click 'edit settings.bat' this will open a notepad window with settings, change:

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080

To match your resolution and change FullscreenMode=2 to FullscreenMode=0. Save and close.

Now double click 'start x64.bat' and the game will launch, from there double click 'Host' then set for freeforall or for TDM, each has a different map but only one weapon. Even on the highest settings its not ultra-pretty (needs some AA tbh) but the lighting is very good and has better hit regs then BF4

Most of the time i can't get it to start, sometimes it will, mostly a get an 0xc000007b error

Did you make sure to install the runtime in the main folder (vcredist2013_x64) and then run as admin?

Yes. it actually worked after i did that the first time, its now that its not working.

i will reinstall them see if it fix, right now i'm running an sfc/scannow to check the dll files.

From the Realistic Rendering demo... Quite impressive, but its a tiny space and hardly indicative a future games, which needs a whole lot more going on.

I too would LOVE a new UT game... a great looking, basic, fast shooter that you can just have a blast with.

Anyway, like what? an i5? wont make any difference, i would need an i7 and that ain't cheap.

And yet if DX12 lives upto the Hype, i wont need a new CPU at all.

Cheap as chips IMO, and to repeat what another peep said when could you ever get a top CPU for £200 yeas ago (and 200 is less today)?

if an i7K was £200 it would be reasonable.

My GPU only cost me £300!
