By popular demand, we're now making the entire Infiltrator project available for free to download and free to use in UE4-based projects.

Infiltrator is a high-end demonstration of Unreal Engine 4’s rendering and cinematic capabilities. Originally shown at GDC 2013, it’s still highly representative of the capabilities of high-end PC GPUs.

Check out the Infiltrator cinematic above, and head to the Epic Games launcher to access the project in the Learn tab.

Please note that UE4’s approach to physically-based rendering has evolved since it originally debuted in Infiltrator, so these assets will require tweaking when they’re used in a new project with reference lighting. For more information, see our physically-based materials documentation.

CryzenX on YouTube said it takes around 20-30 minutes to complete due to it's size.

16gb ram is enough, make sure no other big app is using ram and give it 30 mins to compile all the shaders as it loads, it freezes at 95% for everyone when it starts compiling the shaders.

Just a warning with this, you need at least 16GB of RAM to load this up into the editor (which is the only way to run it)

Even then with 16GB of RAM i'm having issues compiling and publishing it, i will not do it. you probably need 32 or even 64GB to compile and publish so you can run it standalone.

I really don't like UE, its such a massive resource hog.

Nope, Post above yours bud.

Quite a big UE user by the name of CryzenX compiled it and put it up for download.

I've tried it and it works flawlessly.

I ran it yesterday on my 8GB system with no problems, took the usual 30mins of shader compiling on 1st run, but otherwise ok.

Edit. then i do have a problem at this end. ^^^^

He compiled and published it, which is what i tried to do but ran out of RAM, maybe he has more or its a problem at my end :)

With the compiled version *Link in OP* you literally just open it up and it auto runs, Takes literally 5 seconds to open up :)

Yeah on his first run through the scene took up 24GB of memory :O

I think that was the problem, its caching assets during the first compile.

Trying again.

Hurray..... got it published. no menu, there never bloody is....:p

i'll build one for it and upload it at some point.
